These red field poppies were such an intense red, and their nodding buds reminded me how ancient herbalists must have divined information about the medicinal properties of plants. Pretty stunning to see them!

CORN!!! Super revved about these awesome varieties - Blue Hopi, Japanese Hullless Popping Corn, red Festivity, and the ancient crop Anasazi corn. To me, corn is this sacred, almost spiritual crop, and knowing that it was offered to the gods, and sustained many peoples only makes it more precious to grow. These varieties are obviously not GMO- we get that question a lot as awareness increases! :)
